3rd December, 2020
On Saturday 1 September, a team of 36 Quoddies have decided to take a hike… we’ll be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge! The challenge is to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks (Pen-Y-Ghent 694m, Whernside 736m and Ingleborough 723m above sea level), a 24.5 mile route which is to be completed within 12 hours!
We are doing this on behalf of our chosen charity of the year – Centrepoint!
Centrepoint is the UK’s leading charity for homeless young people. It supports more than 9,200 16-25 year olds into a home and a job every year.
How do Centrepoint help young people? Centrepoint help vulnerable young people with housing, health, learning, preparing them to move on and helping them to eventually live independently, not forgetting campaigning to influence National and Local Government Policy.
We hope the thought of our exhausted feet, weakened backs and WiFiless phones will encourage you to donate! So please follow the link below to help us help Centrepoint to end youth homelessness!
Visit Centrepoint’s web page here to find out more about what they do and how they help young, vulnerable homeless young people.
