On Thursday 18th April the Hunslet Club Parkside U15s Rugby Team flew out to Girona for a five day “tour”. The trip included two organised rugby matches, lots of training/team bonding and the chance to watch the Super League clash between Catalans Dragons & Castleford. They were also lucky enough to be invited to a barbecue with some of the Catalans Dragons players.
Quod is keen to support local community causes as part of our charity and corporate social responsibility and recognises the important to give back to the communities around us . More generally, Quod makes a significant annual contribution to charity. The company encourages and supports all staff to get involved in charitable giving and events including sports events (triathlons, marathons) and client charity events, raising £31,923.40 in 2018 for a range of charities including £16,973.40 for Centrepoint. Staff are encouraged to partake in these activities during the week and are not penalised for time taken away from work to undertake such activities. In Dec 2018 Quod’s London office made up 16 hampers for our elderly neighbours who are housed in a residential block next door to the office though Soho Housing Associations social housing.
A spokesman for the Hunslet Club said “this is a great opportunity for the team after winning promotion to Division 2 last season. The team is going from strength to strength and, as we are a grass roots Club, trips like this would not be possible without the support of local businesses, such as Quod, and everyone who has helped with sponsorship.”
