MRTPI – Chartered Town Planner, MSc Spatial Planning, BA(Hons) City and Regional Planning
Claire provides strategic planning advice to clients. She coordinates multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of major planning applications and appeal cases. Claire’s experience ranges from advising on residential-led urban regeneration projects, to Green Belt proposals, urban extensions, industrial and infrastructure projects. Claire has also acted on behalf of clients at public inquiry and examination in public and instructed Counsel. In all cases, Claire strives to adapt to clients’ needs and add value through commercially driven advice.
Prior to joining Quod, Claire worked within planning teams at two international surveying firms, and her client base has included private developers (including national house builders), local authorities and Quangos. She stood on the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Policy Committee from 2012-2017. Claire has also been a member of the General Assembly (the RTPI’s debating forum) from 2012-present and the RTPI’s Education Committee since March 2018. This background has given her a strong network and knowledge base across the property sectors.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys seeing friends in London and visiting family in South Wales. Following recent holidays to Japan and the USA, she has a newfound desire to travel, and New Zealand is the next trip on the list. Claire is also a keen artist and on the weekends she can be found exploring art galleries.
